One of the various models offered by Rolex, the clean factory watch Wimbledon, has a prominent place in the company’s repertoire. The Datejust was created by Hans Wilsdorf in 1945 and is renowned for its date display function, which provides a concrete depiction of time. Every variation of the Datewatch, including the contemporary 41mm and vintage 36mm variants, has its special charms. Clean Factory (C Factory) has created variations of the Datejust as it becomes more and more popular. Let’s examine the Datejust models that Clean Factory recommends.
There is no need for more explanation because the printing and engraving are perfect.
The crown logo at the noon position on the dial is completely mirror-polished, and its corners at the bottom mimic the original design. Clean’s hands are executed exceptionally well, addressing AR’s earlier flaws.
The original artistry is matched by the three-dimensional hands, which feature chamfered edges around the center shaft and double-polished edges to remove burrs. Indeed, this pair of hands achieves the highest degree.
In terms of the markers, Clean has improved even though the Datejust is a formal design with large bar markings that lack the contoured treatment in AR’s sportier Submariner.
Clean goes one step further. It deserves praise for this detail by adding a curved chamfer to the markers’ metal edge. The dial’s overall brushed radial design is beautiful.
Since the sapphire crystal glass’s protrusion is the same height as the original, it eliminates the need for further adjustments, such as those required for VS, which was somewhat higher than the original. There is also a concealed crown behind the crystal at six o’clock, which is scarcely a high-tech feature these days.
In contrast to the straight, sloping edges of VS or AR versions, Clean is unlike any other product on the market in that it curves the edges of the crystal glass just like the original.
Clean’s calendar typeface, which has small numerals and is consistent with both the original and VS, is likewise spot on. The edge of the magnifying glass is clear, just like the crystal.
The fluted bezel from Clean Factory is beautifully crafted, incredibly glossy, and has a wonderful feel.
The contour of the 904L steel casing is the same, and Clean excels at executing every detail. The crown’s integration with the bracelet is quite seamless, and there is the same little step where the case and case back meet. The crown’s projecting crown and bar give it a three-dimensional appearance.
Speaking of measurements, the original 41mm Datejust measures 39.5mm, which is somewhat smaller than stated, although having a nominal diameter of 41mm, similar to other Rolex timepieces. This dimension precisely matches clean and earlier VS models.
